Thank you to all of you who came out to support the Evergreen Animal Protective League this past weekend! There were dogs available for adoption, great gifts at great prices, and photos with Santa! It was a gorgeous, sunny day here in Evergreen and the setting for our photos was perfect (kudos to the EAPL design team!). If you’re interested in adopting, there are still many great dogs available. Here are photos from the event and some of these dogs are still looking for a good family and a forever home. Also below is a sampling of our fun shots with Santa and with our beautiful Colorado setting. All the money raised from this shoot goes directly to EAPL, a 100% volunteer organization. Read more about EAPL here and consider how you can help this holiday season!...
Join fellow photographer Melissa Korbe and myself this Saturday at the Bergen Park Fire Station in Evergreen as we photograph your kids – furry and not-furry – with Santa! Each $25 sitting gives you time with the big, jolly guy in the red suit and 3 digital images, emailed to your inbox. All proceeds go to benefit the Evergreen Animal Protective League. They do good work, helping our voiceless friends find forever homes with good families. In fact, you can find yourself a new family member at this event – animals available for adoption will be there tomorrow! Please read more about what EAPL does by clicking HERE. I found my own fur-baby with the help of EAPL! Hope to see you there. Check the flyer below for more details on time and location....
On Saturday, November 2nd, the Women of Evergreen Businesses (WEB) group is hosting an event to support our local veterans. They’ve put their lives on the line for us, and now we have a chance to say thank you and show our support for our troops as they make the transition back home. The November 2nd event will raise money to send local participating military families to Project Sanctuary, with retreats in Granby, Colorado. During these retreats, the families will have the opportunity to bond with other military families, they’ll enjoy recreational activities together, take classes that will help them with their relationships and practical day-to-day life skills. Project Sanctuary offers these retreats at NO COST to military families, but they need help raising funds so they can continue. Here’s what YOU can do to help: – Buy a ticket and join us for an amazing evening at Mount Vernon Country Club on Saturday, November 2nd. Tickets are $50 each and include a buffet, live music and silent auction. There will also be speakers to share more about Project Sanctuary and the impact it makes on the lives of vets and their families. Tickets are available for sale at the Wild Bird Store and Mountain View Physical Therapy. – Donate an item for the silent auction or door prize. If you or someone you know would be interested, have them contact me! – Donate directly to Project Sanctuary. Last Friday we hosted a fundraiser at the studio, taking head shot images of participants, with 100% of session fees going towards the Kyrie Foundation. We had a great turnout of generous folks and we had a really great time. It was so much fun to photograph and to raise funds for such a great cause. I’d like to give an extra big thank you to my hair and makeup artist, Karinna Wurth, who donated her time and talents to give some extra pampering to those who wanted it. We know how to live it up over here! Our event raised over $300, which is a very small drop in the big bucket of need, but it is definitely a step in the right direction. Along with raising dollars, my goal is to raise awareness of pediatric brain cancer and for the Kyrie Foundation, and their fight to find preventions and a cure. Visit the Kyrie Foundation online to learn more and to make your tax-deductible donation. click: Kyrie Foundation Website Thanks again!!...
I’d like to invite you all to next week’s special fundraising event at the studio. We’ll be doing 10 minute studio sessions – perfect for updating your headshot for social media profiles, website, business cards, etc. – and Karinna, our makeup artist, is donating her time to do quick makeup and hair touch ups! We’re suggesting a $35 donation for the session fee. Along with the touch-up and session, you’ll receive 2 digital images, sized both for web and printable to 4×6. Other fun products will be available, of course. So what’s this all about? Aside from a fun way to busy-up the studio mid-winter, this is a fundraiser for a great cause. All session fees will go to the Kyrie foundation, helping to fight pediatric brain cancer, saving the lives of our littlest friends. So please share this with friends, family and coworkers. We all need to update those profile pics – take advantage of this special event! Hope to see you Friday! Shoot me a note for more details or to book your session. Friday, Jan 25th from 10 am – 2 pm.
